After outcry from various constituencies over the past couple of days, Microsoft has pulled from its CodePlex site its Sandcastle project for failure to comply with the terms and conditions required in order to be qualify as bona-fide open source.

Windows Embedded ‘Quebec’ due in 2010
Work is underway on the 2010 successor to Windows Embedded Standard 2009. The next Windows Embedded release is codenamed “Quebec.” Unlike the 2009 release, the Quebec product will make use of a number of features that are part of Windows Vista.
